Abstract

This article presents the results of a study that is trying to identify the problem of performance attribution in conformity with self-esteem level, starting with identification wish of the modality in wich roumanian people defines the performance level optained depending on his own self esteem. The research is based on the results obtained as a consequence of using a set of questionnaries that identify the mentioned aspects on a group of people with high self-esteem and others with a low self-esteem. The results has releaved the existence of some important differences in the way we make self-attributions of the success deppending on  self-esteem, respectively, persons with high self-esteem are giving explanations in stable and internal terms for success, comparing with persons with a low self-esteem who are giving internal and instable explanations for similar performances. The study has releaved the existence of some correlations between self-esteem, self-attribution, success and failure.
